Kyle Sorensen has taken over the main floor of Cloud Gallery with 12 brand new, beautiful paintings on display.
This new collection of paintings isn't entirely unlike my past work, however, the process of creation for this body of work was extremely different than anything I have done before.
Each painting is inspired from places, moments, memories, and photos collected during the last six months. Six months that I spent immersed in my little summer studio on the shores of Georgian Bay. To create and live amongst the things that inspire me most was awakening. Creating my own sense of paradise in realizing and appreciating the simple and beautiful things in life.
The exhibition theme of "Arcady" seemed only fitting; "an ideal rustic paradise". My sincerest hope is that this body of work brings a sense of arcady to those who view it.
