Abstract Landscape Art
Featured artwork
Ancient Relic
Working full-time from her studio in the beautiful village of Creemore, Ontario, Sue has produced a significant body of work that has been exhibited in Ontario and Newfoundland and is held in private collections across North America, Europe and Japan. A 30 year teaching career has included private and group classes for adults and children, part-time summer faculty at Sir Sanford Fleming College and facilitating art retreats in Newfoundland.
Sue’s Canadian artwork is motivated by a passion for environmental stewardship. The work is informed by a collective imprint of landscape that has influenced her life since early childhood. Growing up north of Orillia, Sue spent most of her time exploring the natural environment with a keen sensitivity to its often overlooked significance and wonder. Her paintings are a personal voyage into an internal perception of landscape, exploring the territory between reality and abstract. It leads you on a journey of primal and psychogeographical connection to land and water, offering comfortable solitude and room for the viewer to find themselves in the painting.
